Worming Horses

Spring is finally here. The snow has melted and your horses will all be looking forward to getting out. While you're planning this, don't forget about worming your horses. Now is the time to re-start worm egg counts. This allows you to check if your horse needs a wormer. By checking every eight weeks your horse can be treated if necessary. By doing this you're helping to prevent resistance to wormers and avoiding unnecessary medication for your horse.

Our Equine Health Plan includes a minimum of three worm egg counts a year, and wormers. So bring a sample of your horses faeces - labelled please - and we can test it and let you know the best treatment for your horse.
