Dr Cordelia Charles

Cordelia graduated from The University of Liverpool in 2016 with distinction. Following graduation Cordelia spent two years working at a referral hospital in New Zealand. During this time she gained experience with thoroughbred performance work, diagnostic imaging and foal medicine, she also lived on a large stud farm with 300 broodmares and 3 resident stallions.

Cordelia returned to the UK in 2018 to work at Bellevue Equine Clinic focusing on preventative health care and performance horse medicine. During 2020 Cordelia dedicated the year to furthering her stud medicine skills first completing a Northern Hemisphere stud season with Newmarket Equine Hospital and then a Southern Hemisphere stud season at Tamworth Equine Vets in Australia. Whilst in Australia Cordelia focused on assisted reproduction techniques including Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer. In September 2023 Cordelia achieved her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with the delegation in Equine Stud Medicine (CertAVP ESM) through The University of Liverpool.

As a vet student Cordelia visited equine referral hospitals in America and spent time at the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Both David and Cordelia were volunteers at the London 2012 Equestrian Paralympics.

Cordelia grew up in Somerset and was a keen member of the South and West Wilts Pony Club spending most weekends out eventing. In her free time she enjoys reading, horse riding and wild swimming.
